Beschrijving A contemporary painting of Ahmad Shah Durrani, founder of the modern state of Afghanistan in 1747 and ruler of the Durrani Empire. It is based on an early Afghan drawing by ’Abd al-Ghafur Breshna.[2]

Works of Afghan origin that were no longer under copyright in Afghanistan on July 29, 2016 are not copyrighted in the U.S. due to a previous lack of copyright relations between the U.S. and Afghanistan.
