Nederlands: In 1781 werd in de Hoofdstraat het eerste Veghelse raadhuis gebouwd, waar ook de toenmalige boterwaag naartoe werd verplaatst. Aan de Hoofdstraat werd toen ook altijd de wekelijkse botermarkt gehouden op donderdag. In de onderste verdieping van het nieuwe gebouw kreeg de boterwaag een plekje. Dat gebouw werd in 1876 vervangen door een nieuw raadhuis, dat we nu kennen als het oude Raadhuis aan de Markt. |
