Volgens de Ethnologue wordt de naam I-Kiribati gebruikt als een alternatief voor de taal Kiribati [1]. Het wordt dan ook als Ikiribati geschreven.. GerardM 26 okt 2004 14:53 (CEST)
- Ik zie ook (Google) dat I-Kiribati (al of niet met een tussenstreepje) voor het volk/land wordt gebruikt...Het lijkt dus geen naam exclusief voor de taal te zijn. Misschien het lemma gewoon "Kiribati (taal)" noemen? Martijn 26 okt 2004 15:13 (CEST)

As I don't speak enough Dutch for writing it, I hope that, as most Dutch people, you will understand English :
- I-Kiribati means the people of Kiribati in en:gilbertese;
- Kiribati or Te taetae ni kiribati means the language of Kiribati (the last one is the complete form).
