I noticed you claim that Karamanlis origin is partly from modern Turkey and that he changed his name from Kalaycioglou to Karamanlis.I don't know where did you get this info from but it's dead wrong.Karamanlis' has nothing to do with the Greek refugees from Asia Minor.He is from his father's side a native of Macedonia.His great grand father Georgios Karamanlis was born in 1890 in the modern Greek province of Macedonia (back then under Ottoman rule).Read this below about his uncle Konstantinos Karamanlis: [1] [2] And his family name was never Kalaycioglou.As for his mother,she descends from the island of Mykonos. --94.68.48.27 29 okt 2009 18:20 (CET)
