Meguro Z97

I am told that the Motosacoche 498cc overhead valve engine from which Meguro copied the model Z97 engine was type 1C9H11. I am sorry that my only source for this is an Internet forum so I have not included this in the text of the article or cited the forum as a source. The Z97's frame and front fork of the Meguro Z97 look different from those of the Motosacoche Jubilée. I do not know if Meguro copied the gearbox from MAG, but they certainly didn't copy the rest of the Motosacoche motorcycle!

First Kawasaki four-stroke?

I believe Meguro's single-cylinder SG and parallel-twin K2 both became Kawasaki models. Both were four-strokes. I've not verified which model if any can be said to be Kawasaki's first four-stroke, so I've deleted that claim from the text until someone can cite a source. Motacilla 28 jan 2009 01:22 (CET)
