Ons artikel geeft de volgende citatie als afkomstig uit The Nation :

"Toen ik, vlak na het verschijnen, Finkelsteins boek “De Holocaust-industrie” las, zat ik zelf midden in een onderzoek naar deze kwesties, en ik kwam tot de conclusie dat hij op het correcte spoor zat. Ik refereer nu zelf aan het boekdeel dat de claims tegen de Zwitserse banken behandelt en de andere claims in verband met dwangarbeid. Als ik erop terugblik, zou ik zeggen dat hij nog eerder terughoudend was en dat zijn conclusies zeker het vertrouwen waard zijn. Finkelstein is een goed opgeleid politiek wetenschapper, bezit de vaardigheid om aan research te doen, heeft die ook zorgvuldig uitgevoerd, en kwam met de juiste resultaten. Ik zal alleszins niet de enige zijn die het voor de komende maanden en jaren volkomen eens is met Finkelsteins doorbraak."

Dat kan ook gelezen (in Engels) op de Engelse Wikiquote :

In en:The Holocaust Industry lezen we een deel van het citaat hierboven :

met verwiizing naar het artikel van The Nation en, voor andere citaties van Hilberg, naar "NormanFinkelstein.com Raul Hilberg interviews on The Holocaust Industry & Finkelstein (2000/2001) Archived 2006-03-27 at the Wayback Machine." Maar de Wayback Machine pagina geeft de citatie uit The Nation niet.
Het probleem is dat in het artikel van The Nation alleen wat volgt kan gelezen worden :

"I would now say in retrospect that he was actually conservative, moderate and that his conclusions are trustworthy…. I am by no means the only one who, in the coming months or years, will totally agree with Finkelstein’s breakthrough."
